The Hyundai Ioniq 6 2023 The electric car has a U.S. price tag, and it puts the 361-mile version well ahead of the Tesla Model 3 in the $46,615 range. Base versions of the Ioniq 6 start at $42,715 with a 240-mile range. That positions the price of the Ioniq 6 just below the price of the Ioniq 5 crossover.
Volkswagen has traditionally looked to suppliers such as Bosch to design some of its core components; But VW sees huge efficiency gains from optimization them, with an “all-in-one” rather than modular component, and maintain in-house expertise, the company said Tuesday. The approach, which sounds like what Tesla has used for its vehicles, could also yield economies of scale.
Toyota is considering strengthening Electric vehicle production in Kentucky at its current plant there as soon as 2025, according to a report. The move is likely to take advantage of a federal EV tax credit as well as incentivized batteries from a new factory in North Carolina.
