Is high gas prices part of the plan to force the US to accept electric cars? With all the drilling leases and pipeline projects canceled, I think there is good reason to think so.
So stop complaining farmers and keep doing what your government wants you to do.
Of course, if you can’t afford an EV, there’s always public transport, at least in cities. Or if you’re worried about crime, you can stay home. Blue people think Americans go to work too muchso encouraging you not to leave the house is probably part of the transition plan.
