Porsche continues to find creative ways to honor its legacy. After release Puma shoes inspired by 911 Carrera RS 2.7it has teamed up with Chicago-based Pretty Cool Ice Cream to create limited edition flavored ice cream pops in honor of paint colors present and past.
The unlikely collaboration will celebrate National Ice Cream Day, which falls on July 17. If you’ve read this far without craving ice cream, a Porsche, or both (not at the same time; please pay attention to the upholstery), a description of each flavor will be helpful. Mint Green is a mint green cookie and ice cream with a mint green white chocolate crust. Strawberry Red is cream cheese cream dipped in a strawberry red crust and it’s made with real freeze-dried strawberries. Frozen Berry Metallic is a dark raspberry ice cream in a sparkling frozen berry-colored ruby chocolate crust. Finally, Lime Gold Metallic is a lemon cake ice cream with a sparkling lemon yellow caramel crust. Each pop box weighs 3.8 ounces, which sounds like a nod to the 6.8-liter one used in some 911s.
