Porsche Australia remembered 474 examples its 911 generation 992Due to the defect, the front and rear windows can fall out while driving.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, the front and rear window glass may not be sufficiently bonded to the vehicle body,” the manufacturer said in the recall notice.
“This can result in the glass becoming partially loose throughout the life of the vehicle. In the event of an accident, this could also negatively affect the effectiveness of the frontal airbags and could increase the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.”

The recall only affects Porsche 911s with optional lightweight glass packages (option codes VW4 and VW7).
