Isle of Man TT results in 2023
Qualifiers – Thursday
The Isle of Man had another totally great day on Thursday for the ongoing fourth and penultimate elimination session for TT 2023.
That trio of Peter Hickman, Michael Dunlop and Dean Harrison once again led with Hickman topping fifth, several tenths ahead of Dunlop. Over 37.73 miles the difference is only a few tenths… Awesome…
Hickman’s 133.797 mph lap only surpassed Dunlop’s 133.775 mph while Dean Harrison couldn’t match him Wednesday speed, the DAO Kawasaki racer hit 132,921 mph compared to the 133,514 he set Yesterday. Both Dunlop and Harrison also hit 132.7 mph on their Superstock machines.
Other Davey Todd can’t match him Wednesday marker but still the fourth fastest Superbike on Thursday with 1m31,561.
James Hillier successfully started with a lap of 130.195 mph on his Superstock bike and a lap of 129,210 mph on his Superbike.
Josh Brookes made some strides today, improving to 129,833 mph. His best lap on the TT course ever was a 131,745 mph on Norton in 2018.
Countryman David Johnson set a lap of 128,392 mph on his Honda Superbike and 127,465 on his Superstock bike on Thursday.
The last Australian in the field, Rennie Scaysbrook, was frustrated with a mechanical failure and was unable to complete a lap.
Michael Dunlop is the fastest Supersport hitter today at 126,738 mph but Hickman still topped the week after Wednesday’s 127,206 mph lap in his Triumph.
The SuperTwins weren’t on track today but the Sidecars finished the schedule and the Birchall boys overcame the Sidecar lap record to take the lead. A lap at 119,414 mph, and from the starting position no less…
The fifth and final day of qualifying takes place on Friday before the Supersport category kicks off the race on Saturday.
