If you’re like me, you’ve probably shopping at Zara it’s been a while. While you used to check newcomers section the brand’s app on a twice-weekly basis, now you find yourself slowing down, scanning only that app once a week and occasionally stop inside a nearby shop on your lunch break. (That’s what I call progressive.) While most of the collection is still classy, not to mention shockingly expensive search, I find that some mistakes are a bit too far on the youthful side for my liking. Whenever that happens, I turn my attention to Zara’s older and wiser sister: Massimo Dutti.
The brand was founded in 1985 in Barcelona as a menswear brand, acquired by Zara’s parent company Inditex in 1991 and introduced womenswear in 1995. With a focus on Uncompromising comfort, exquisite tailoring and effortless wearability, Massimo Dutti seems to capture every look. box. (No wonder Kate Middleton is a huge fan.) It’s worth noting that, like Zara, there’s still work to be done here to make the size range more comprehensive—many styles only go up to size 14.
