Perth supercar owners team up to give sick kids a special ride


A group of 12 supercar owners in Perth are preparing to provide “supercar therapy” to children battling a “critical illness”.

Lamborghinis, Ferraris and McLarens – among others – will be in effect as part of the first Driven Project event to take place outside of North America. They will drive around Perth, and on the track with their “superhero co-driver kids” in the passenger seat.

The event was supported by the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, WA Police, the Driving Risks team and the Lee Collection from Laurence Escalante.

Kevin Gordon, founder of the Driven Project, said: “The goal of the Driven Project is simple – to give outstanding children who are going through unimaginable hardships one of those great days. most in their lives.

“As we’ve seen time and time again over the past 5 years, giving these kids regular once-in-a-lifetime experiences is like driving an amazing supercar for a day out with the kids. other children and their families will produce invaluable results, such as improved mental health.”

Laurence Escalante said “there is no doubt in supporting such a worthy cause”.

“Although I cannot imagine what these children and their families are going through, family is so important to me and being able to help bring joy to these brave children is such a blessing. privilege,” he said.
