Paytm has requested the Indian Board of Cricket Control (BCCI) to transfer ownership of the Indian Home Cricket title to a third party – Mastercard.
Sports star understand that the current agreement between Paytm and BCCI is valid from September 2019 to March 31, 2023. However, the company missed the July 2021 deadline to request a reassignment of the funding. But considering the relationship between the two parties, BCCI will consider Paytm’s request.
“Office bearers will consult with the legal team and make an appropriate call,” a source in the Council said.
