Russian tennis participant Olga Puchkova was defaulted from her match at Citi Open after hitting a line judge in the knee with a ball after dropping a degree within the third set.

Puchkova, ranked No.88, forfeited her match towards Paula Ormaechea of Argentina whereas trailing 3-6, 6-3, 4-1 Thursday throughout their second-round match.

Puchkova stated it was an accident and that she was “sincerely sorry,” following the damage.

“I wasn’t wanting the place the tennis ball would go,” Puchkova stated in accordance with studies.
