NFL Top Plays: Eagles vs Chiefs

Week 11 of the NFL season comes to a close with Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) taking on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (7-2) on Monday Night Football in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII.

Twelve-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift won’t be making the trip to Arrowhead Stadium to watch Travis Kelce & Co, but her “aura,” as Kelce described his girlfriend in a recent interview, will still be felt. (Swift had reportedly planned to attend — and have her parents meet Kelce’s — until a tragedy at one of her concerts in Brazil on Friday forced the pop star to reschedule a show for Monday.)

Swift or no Swift, however, an enchanting matchup is set as the Eagles, including Travis’s brother and All-Pro center Jason Kelce, dress for revenge after the Chiefs emerged victorious a thrilling 38-35 Super Bowl result last February.

Can the Eagles shake off the loss and play anti-hero in Kansas City, or will the Chiefs continue cementing themselves as the NFL’s current great American dynasty?

Here are all top moments from a Monday night to remember!

Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs

Sack for sack!

Both high-powered offenses went three-and-out on their first possessions, with Haason Reddick sacking Mahomes before the Chiefs’ pass rush returned the favor against Hurts.

Chiefs Kingdom!

A lot has been made about Mahomes’ weapons aside from Kelce in the current Chiefs offense. But four different players touched the ball on Kansas City’s 10-play drive for the game’s first score, and none of them were Kelce. Mahomes found receiver Justin Watson wide open in the end zone behind a double-teamed Kelce for the touchdown.

Swift in the house after all!

No, not Taylor — but the Eagles answered right back by marching down the field for a touchdown of their own, capped off by two fierce runs from D’Andre Swift.

Picked!

L’Jarius Sneed took advantage of an underthrown ball by Hurts to get the ball back for the Chiefs.

Eagles get it right back!

This time it was the Eagles’ defense returning the favor as trade deadline acquisition Kevin Byard intercepted Mahomes in the end zone.

It’s him, hi, he’s the problem it’s him

Noted Swiftie and “Anti-Hero” fan Chris Jones made sure the Eagles’ ensuing drive went nowhere with two sacks in three plays.

Kelce on the board!

Who else but Travis Kelce to give the Chiefs a 14-7 lead right before halftime after big runs from Mahomes and Kadarius Toney?

Chiefs DOMINATING the trenches

Kansas City’s pass rush has five sacks on Hurts in the first half, including two each from Chris Jones and Trent McDuffie.

New half, same Chiefs pass rush!

Kansas City recorded its sixth sack of the day to stifle the Eagles’ opening drive of the second half.
