New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Inc. (NYTB) will conduct the Annual Stall Season Auction from Friday, January 27 to Tuesday, January 31 on Wanamakers.com.
The fundraising auction allows the NYTB to fulfill its dual mission of promoting ranching and racing in New York as well as protecting the welfare of industry stakeholders.
The auction regularly draws seasons donated from farms in Empire State and Kentucky, including McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, Sequel New York, Irish Hill & Dutchess Views Stallions, Rockridge Stud, Darley, WinStar Farm, Darby Dan Farm and Gainesway Farm.
“The benefit of our annual horse season auction is that it allows participants to find great value on stallions from top ranches in New York, the Commonwealth of Kentucky and elsewhere. while helping our mission to protect and enhance the incentives and awards that have made the New York Breeding Program the strongest regional breeding program in the nation,” said Purebred Breeder Executive Director. New York strain Najja Thompson said.
New York breeder program stakeholders receive more than $60 million distributed in cash, incentives, and prizes to New York breeders competing in over 600 New York-hosted races held annually on the New York Racing Association circuit and Finger Lakes Gaming & Track.
Additionally, there are specifically targeted enhancement programs for New York-Sired New York breeders, including the $2.3 million New York Stallion Stakes Series and the $2.3 million New York Stallion Stakes Series, and bonus programs for hybrid New York owners on the New York Racing Association circuit.
