Did you know the yellow-shouldered Amazon parrot has an average vocabulary of one hundred words? With so many words and phrases for these parrots to absorb, it’s impossible to know what one of the feathered jewels might say. And though they’re used to parrots and their antics, the staff at Land of Petland in Philadelphia couldn’t help but laugh when the chirping of a parrot turned into cheers of laughter.
Lucky for us, they captured the hilarious moment on camera and shared it on TikTok. And now, the yellow-shouldered parrot Paco is enjoying a viral moment in the sun, with the post garnering nearly twenty million views and over two and a half million likes.
Beautiful bird
When Paco visited Petland to get his wings and nails trimmed, he stitched up the staff with ramblings about wanting to take a shower. The silly bird also threw out a few other phrases before bursting into laughter. And Paco’s laugh was more than a light laugh. He mimicked the laughter of someone who tickled so hard he couldn’t breathe. And such laughter proved contagious, making even those who cared for him laugh and cry.

Comments filled with laughter and love for Paco
Of course, with all the love for Paco on Tiktok, the comments proved to be a source of funny gold, glittering jewels like, “WHY PACO SOUND LIKE A HUMAN ABUELITA SMILE 😂🥰.”
“An aunt who drank too much and told dad jokes and laughed at them,” one commented.
But the good life that Paco is living is also clearly expressed by many commenters, including one who wrote: “It is clear that Paco is surrounded by a lot of laughter and love in his home 🥰🥰 !”
And more than love, another user casually explained the power of parrots, sharing: “This is hilarious but did you know about the parrot that helped solve a murder by linking continue to repeat an argument that led to the murder of its owner.”
And when many viewers asked what Paco was talking about, users came up with funny things with their answers.
One TikToker said he heard: “He looks like he’s laughing and saying ‘no puedo’. That means “I can’t” 😂 …at least that’s what I understand.”
