NYRA announces a series of job fairs for Belmont Stakes


New York Racing Association, Inc. announced on May 2 a series of job fairs to fill temporary positions in support of the 2022 Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, which will take place at Belmont Park from Thursday, June 9 to Saturday, June 11.

The NYRA is looking for candidates ready to serve fans from around the world over a three-day racing festival, culminating in the 154th Belmont Stakes run by NYRA Bets (G1) on Wednesday. Saturday, June 11th.

To fill the approximately 700 temporary positions needed to support the operation of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, the NYRA will host a job fair in Belmont Park from May 12 to May 14 to hire staff. bookmakers, white hats, cashiers, hotel team members, ticket scanners, merchant programs, openers and custodians.

Cashiers and wagers must be 18 years of age or older, present a current resume, and have a minimum of three years of cash handling experience.

Registration for

  • From 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at Belmont Park, Lawn and Lawn (fourth floor) of the Club. Job fair attendees are advised to enter Belmont Park through Gate 5 (off Hempstead Turnpike), park at the Silver A & B lot, and enter using the main Clubhouse entrance.
  • From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, May 13 at Belmont Park, Lawn and Lawn (4th floor) of the Clubhouse. Job fair attendees are advised to enter Belmont Park through Gate 5 (off Hempstead Turnpike), park at the Silver A & B lot, and enter using the main Clubhouse entrance.
  • From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at the Belmont Park, Garden Terrace (4th floor) of the Clubhouse. Job fair attendees are advised to enter Belmont Park through Gate 5 (off Hempstead Turnpike), park at the Silver A & B lot, and enter using the main Clubhouse entrance.

Directions by car: Cross Island Parkway, Exit 26B (going south) and Exit 26B (going north); and by rail: via LIRR from Jamaica, Woodside or Penn Station).

Applicants for the positions, other than betting officer and admissions cashier, must be 16 years of age or older with original employment documents and bring two forms of identification (suitable for I-9).
