Tom Rooney, President and CEO of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, will highlight his first year as head of the organization and the 2023 legislative outlook on breeding and thoroughbred racing in Washington during his speech at next week’s Global Symposium on Racing in Tucson, Arizona. Additionally, NTRA will be hosting its annual National Equestrian Championship Workshop on Monday, December 5 at 3pm MT time, less than 100 days from the annual event in Las Vegas.
Rooney will speak at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday and will discuss the election results, the upcoming 118th Congress and legislative priorities for the new Washington, DC-based NTRA group. Rooney introduced himself as the new director of NTRA at last year’s Symposium.
The annual NHC conference will feature research and case studies outlining the profitability of hosting the NHC competition qualifiers, and this year, all panelists are invited to experience the excitement of the NHC first-hand. competition by participating in the Symposium Competition.
