New Mazda BT-50 package brings upgrades in mechanics, appearance


Mazda revealed a new pair of accessory packs for it BT-50 SP And thunder model.

The SP Pro Enhancement Pack costs $7668 and adds the following features to the BT-50 SP:

  • Nitrocharger suspension with updated springs and up to 2 inches for off-roading
  • 18 inch wheels
  • Lightforce LED bar with 1 lux illumination at distances up to 569m
  • SP Pro decals stick all over the bottom of the door.

Mazda says it has extensively tested the lifter to ensure it doesn’t affect any of the safety systems including anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control.

The flagship BT-50 Thunder now has a Thunder Pro bundle option, priced at $9046, and adds:

  • ADR approved single ring boost bar
  • Lightforce LED Light Bar
  • Old Man Emu BP-51 suspension – for medium loads
  • Nitrogen damper
  • Diving
  • LED Lightforce Round Steering Light
  • Thunder Decals Pro

Mazda Australia says customers purchasing the Thunder Pro package will save $500 compared to buying all the accessories individually and says the upgraded suspension has been extensively tested.

The booster packs will be available to order from July. Customers of existing BT-50 SP and Thunder models can also purchase genuine accessory packs.

Both accessory packs are covered by a two-year or full 5-year, unlimited-km warranty if included with a new BT-50 SP or Thunder purchase and installed prior to shipment.
