First discovered on spring summer runway (which I detailed in March), one thing I am certain of: 2023 will be the year of great earring energy and my prophecy has been proven true. From Bottega Veneta to Saint Laurent, larger-than-life earrings have been ubiquitous in the designer’s collections. However, while I can report on the luxury going on in the industry, sadly my budget doesn’t allow me to shell out over £800 for a pair of earrings. So I decided to be patient. Then, a few weeks ago, when I was on Amazon Lost in my obsession with Marvis toothpaste and the book on the coffee table, I stumbled across the perfect pair of oversized teardrop earrings.
Yes, this is a dupe of Bottega Veneta, and while I’ve always been in favor of buying the original, as we’ve identified, I simply don’t have the budget to do so in this case. So I decided to be cautious and ordered myself a pair. I chose yellow (these earrings come in a variety of colors). For £12 I wasn’t expecting much but as soon as they arrived I knew I had found something special.
