MotoGP 2022: Petronas continues to be the official Moto2 / Moto3 fuel supplier for the 2023 season onwards
Malaysian national oil company Petronas will continue to be the exclusive fuel supplier for MotoGP’s Moto 2 and Moto 3 classes from 2023. Continuing the previous agreement with Dorna Sport that expires in 2022, Petronas will supply fueling for medium and light classes.
MotoGP will move towards sustainable fuels by 2024 and Petronas will become a supplier of sustainable fuels for both classes. The deal will also see the promotion of Petronas continue globally throughout the entire MotoGP season.
Datin Anita Azrina Abdul Aziz, Senior General Manager, Strategic Communications Group, Petronas said: “In the future, the partnership will grow and see Petronas work more closely with Dorna Sport. and promote a more sustainable championship. “We see Dorna’s call to reduce carbon emissions in MotoGP as key to opening new opportunities as we embark on redefining ourselves in the face of an energy transition.” She added.
