Mini Cooper 2025 interior reveals minimalist retro design, large round screen

Mini just dropped a teaser for it Cooperative 2025, and it’s all about the new interior. And while Mini might call this a teaser, it’s essentially a full, visual reveal of the inside of the new Cooper.

Changes and updates are everywhere, as this new Mini shares practically nothing with extroverted model. Its new centerpiece is a large circular screen, which appears to be displaying new infotainment system software. All your important information is housed in this big screen. We can see the device selection, power range, power meter, navigation center and media player, all in the middle and top half of the screen. In the bottom corners is the temperature control dial, and in the bottom center is a row of shortcut icons that would presumably pull up a larger menu of those items. The traditional instrument cluster is gone, but the Mini has incorporated a pop-up glass HUD in its place, so thankfully you still have a lot of important items right in front of you.

Just below the center display is what Mini calls the “switch bar”. It contains switches and buttons for things like selecting gears, turning the car on and off, and different driving modes. The quick switch for the defrost and the hazards is here too. Interestingly, the steering wheel has more buttons than the center console, and the steering wheel itself is a new design. You’ll notice that the bottom third resembles the “dotted” strap of the wheel, and the top of the wheel is extremely sturdy — Mini says it’s also smaller in diameter than the current wheel.

Minimalism dominates the rest of the interior. Simple control panel with basic advanced interface but added with fancy lights and animations that play through the fabric. Mini has designed a beautifully integrated horizontal ventilation hole with the new dashboard. As for the doors, the material looks more premium and the armrests look comfortable.

We can’t see the entire center console, but a pair of USB Type-C charging ports are arranged in front with the cordless phone. charger right there, too. A pair of cups sit behind this, and no BMW car iDrive knob to be visible.

As you can see from the video (below) where the original Mini interior transforms into a new one, the designers’ inspiration for the 2025 model is pretty clear. Downsize and bring back the vintage feel in a digital way. We’ll need to wait for all the details regarding the rest of the new patch Small cooperativebut this certainly looks like a promising start.
