Ava Phillippe body slams online
While most of the comments Ava Philippe commented on her appearance how much she looked like her mother, Reese WitherspoonOccasionally she will receive inappropriate comments about her body.
Where in point? On Friday, the 24-year-old daughter of Witherspoon and actor Ryan Phillippe condemned body-shaming on social media. In a video posted to TikTok, Phillippe stands in front of a bathroom mirror while applying red lipstick and revealing that she recently “reached a major milestone as a woman online.”
She wrote: “I saw 2 different strangers commenting on my body. She said: “The first person said I should participate in Oz*mpic because I was too fat. “The second person accused me of starving myself because I was so skinny. My weight didn’t change in the time between their comments. (& if it did, it’s none of their business) !)”
While intentionally smudging lipstick on her face, Philippe continued, “That’s bullshit. No one deserves to be discriminated against because of how they look. You don’t always know what someone has been through or who they are.” struggle with. But no matter who you are… Your beauty is beyond those superficial measures.”
“Beautiful is beautiful, girls…& bodyshaming is simply toxic. #loveyouasyouare,” she captioned the clip, to which Witherspoon responded in the comments section of her daughter’s post her, “Yes to all of this.”
The saying “beautiful is beautiful” is a saying Phillippe was taught by her mother since she was a child. Phillipe previously explained when speaking to: “Every time it pops into my head or I see people criticizing other people for their looks online, I just always think, you’re only as beautiful as you treat yourself. with other people”. Everybody. “As we move around the world, I see that beauty is really subjective, but what’s not so good is being kind, open, and treating people with respect. I think you shine from within when you’re a good person.”
