Tesla Model Y tops sales in Germany


Tesla Model Y topped sales in the German car market in September, according to sales figures released by the Federal Motor Transport Agency (KBA) (through the Electrek).

The Model Y beat the perennial favorite Volkswagen Golf, managing just over 7,000 deliveries in September. Additionally, German Model 3 deliveries reached 3,878 units in September.

Tesla has been looking to increase sales in Europe with the Giga Berlin factory, which produces cars announced in 2019. The first production cars from this factory, located just outside the German capital, delivered in March.
