Mercedes-Benz Yes reveal pictures and a small amount of information about a G-Wagen special version called G-Class Version 550.
This special G-spot is based on model G 550, which means it has a good 4.0-liter V8 with 416 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. You can specify the exterior according to one of three color: Jupiter Red, Arabian Gray and Moonlight White. The last of them, Moonlight White (in the gallery above), is a new Manufaktur color released with this special edition. You will notice that Edition 550 has “first 200” badge on it, signaling that Mercedes will only make 200 of these in this spec.
You’ll find a similar boundary of the Edition 550 on the interior, where it says “1 in 200” on the passenger hand grips. Mercedes says the Edition 550 is available with a variety of interior options “from two-tone Nappa leather upholstery with diamond stitching to Active Multi-Purpose Seats and Carbon fiber trim.” The only photos show a G-Class with a black/white two-tone interior that can scream “I’m rich” in a million different ways.
Mercedes doesn’t say how much the Edition 550 will cost – this news reaches us on the same day as private information tells us the price of G-Wagen will go up – also does not say when the model will be available. With need for G-Wagens, however, you can assume that the answer to the first question will be “a lot”.
