Maurice Lacroix adds Aikon to charity auction

Maurice Lacroix created a special edition of his Aikon skeleton watch to be auctioned by Phillips for a profit. TimeForArt, a watch auction charity supporting contemporary artists and educating the arts community. The auction, Phillips’ New York Watch Auction: ‘Seven,’ is scheduled for December 10 and 11.

For the special auction piece, Maurice Lacroix worked closely with movement specialist Sellita to create a new version of the automatic ML115 (base SW200).
The watchmaker applied a special rainbow treatment to the movement plate and bridge. The oscillating weight has also been customized, incorporating sandblasted and sun-brushed trim.
Housed in a special 39mm stainless steel case Aikon skeleton watch Supplied with a matching bracelet and additionally supplied with a black rubber strap. Auction estimate: $3,000 – $6,000.
