Motorcycling tends to be a male-dominated sport but Angella Wong will beg to differ as she enters her first season of the 2023 Malaysia Cub Prix. Angella Wong Ann Qi, her full name, is from Negeri Sembilan and is racing in the Yamaha Petronas Super Series on a Yamaha EZ115.
During her first season in motocross, 17-year-old Angella said she decided to take up the sport for a challenge. Angella said: “I like to ride fast and feel the breeze on me.

Angella joins female competitor Nur Anisha Muhd Zaini in the Yamaha Petronas Super Series. Another female motocross rider in the 2023 Malaysia Cub Prix is Nur Dini Uzma Abdullah in the AEON Credit Service Yamaha 135LC Tekhne Challenge, as well as Nuraina Halisya Hamirudin in the Pro-Am Cup Petronas Sprinta.
