Lost dog reunites with dad after more than a year apart
When a sweet pitbull named Kodak went missing, its father, Max Maxwell, searched for it for weeks. It was thought that the two would never be reunited, but more than a year later, Kodak found his way home.
Maxwell gave up hope of seeing Kodak again when the dog did not appear for weeks after going missing.
Sadly, Maxwell is moving across the country to Los Angeles, California, making his chances of finding the dog increasingly slim.
To my surprise, after over a year apart, Maxwell received a call on his birthday from the RSPCA to give him the greatest gift – his dog!
In an interview with Dodo, Maxwell shared that someone found Kodak outside of Indianapolis, Indiana. Because he was microchiped, they were able to find Maxwell and tell him the good news.
The only dilemma then is bringing Kodak to California to reunite with his master!
Thankfully, they were able to get him on a flight with Pilot Julian Javor, founder of Pet rescue pilot.
The flight went smoothly, and before long, Kodak and Maxwell had the reunion they had been waiting for more than a year.
Their reunion was so sweet. Obviously they both missed each other!

Aside from being sweet and inspiring, their story serves as a reminder to microchip your pets and keep them updated. You never know when you might need it.
