Steelers vs. Chargers, updates, highlights from the NFL’s ‘Sunday Night Football’ game

Sunday night’s tilt between the Chargers and Steelers has the potential to impact big playoff times for either side. The Chargers come in at 5-4 and are currently in seventh and final place in the playoffs over 11 weeks of the season.

But the charger has struggled with late times. Last week, in a 27-20 loss to the Vikings, Brandon Staley’s squad assembled a total of 253 yards of fouls – the second time in four games they failed to hit the 300 mark. Los Angeles also has a negative point difference, has been trailed by 228-219 so far this year.

RIVERA: Where is the uniform of the All-Time Rated Charger?

The game against the Steelers at the SoFi Stadium gives the Chargers a supposed home advantage, but they’ve only lost 2-3 at home, including losing their last two home games.

The Steelers, meanwhile, are currently in fifth place in the playoffs 5-3-1 after beating Detroit a week ago. Longtime defender Ben Roethlisberger is expected to start for the Steelers after entering the COVID protocols eight days ago, but pass them in time to be cleared.

Before the draw, Pittsburgh had won four in a row behind Roethlisberger and a solid defence. Rookie Najee Harris has also impressed, with nearly 1,000 yards from the script so far this year, as well as a total of six touchdowns.

THAN: Why doesn’t TJ Watt play for the Steelers on SNF?

The Alabama production is the team’s third top pusher and top receiver and could take on more responsibility as Pittsburgh’s offense would need to take place without star defenders TJ Watt and Joe Haden.
