LIVE at 1pm EST – Fun Friday: Wind Power Failed
Wind is one of the most popular renewable energy sources, but the truth is, wind power is actually very efficient. From turbine failures or fires, to broken lines, plastic pollution and the need to burn fossil fuels to keep turbines running, Wind Energy is failing on every front, except for government-sponsored subsidies.
It was recently discovered that in Scotland, some wind farms are connected to diesel generators to keep turbine blades spinning in cold weather to prevent the bearings from freezing. The irony is dense, and there are even more examples we’ll cover.
In this week’s episode of the Climate Change Roundtable, Host Anthony Watts joins H. Sterling Burnett and Linnea Lueken delves into the madness of wind energy. Follow the Climate Change Roundtable live every Friday at 1pm EST, 12pm CST.
