Arctic sea ice stable, no downward trend for more than 10 years as solar cycle starts to weaken – Rising with that?

The Copernicus Program provides very interesting data on Arctic ice.

While sea ice is declining off the Greenland Sea (east of the island), the Chucki Sea (eastern Siberia) has shown a very different trend in sea ice volume over the past year. Such deviations have occurred continuously since 2000.

Overall, the 2021 level is very close to the 1991-2020 average and much higher than the 2012 low and also well above the level recorded in 2020.

25 . solar cycle

Solar Cycle 25 is now 28 months old, and there are still 12 months of sunspot activity that averaged to plateau during cycle 1… 24, more than 3 years after the cycle’s start. So it’s worth looking at the current state of the SC25, starting in December 2019.

It has been speculated that SC25 will be slightly stronger than its predecessor SC24, which has been the weakest cycle since the early 20th century. In fact, the current cycle so far works quite similarly to SC24, in total of all months it shows only 21% more SSN than predecessor cycle, so it is “last monday” active since 1900. We will notify you anomaly state interval in current solar activity, so far SC25 remains the same forecast.
