In contrast, I see Sigma as a low-cost lens manufacturer that specializes in producing affordable alternatives to the lenses you really want. Then two separate events changed my opinion of both.
With Leica, I visited their London office and tried out their cameras and lenses. While I still believe that some devices are too expensive for most people, I have seen the “miracle” that many people love. Taking pictures with Leica cameras and lenses is a unique experience in ways that are hard to put into words. With Sigma, it was the advent of the Art line of lenses that showed me the quality they can produce, making them not only a brand of cheaper alternatives but highly desirable in its own right. of them.
