Why is LaMelo Ball involved in the NBA’s health and safety protocols?

According to NBA, a vaccinated player will participate in health and safety procedures after testing positive for COVID-19 or receiving inconclusive COVID-19 test results. With pre-season reports said that the Hornets roster is 100 percent vaccinated, Ball and three of his teammates all tested positive or received negative test results.

Ahead of the team’s announcement that those players would be taking part in health and safety procedures, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that there was “concern about more aggressive COVID-19 tests” outside of Ball. and Rozier.

How long will LaMelo Ball be out?

If an NBA player tests positive for COVID-19, he must stay away from the team for at least 10 days unless he returns two negative PCR tests in a 24-hour period.

In the event of a false positive, two negative tests will allow the player to return to play, as seen in the case of Lakers superstar LeBron James.
