Jake Paul signs amateur boxer, ‘Euphoria’ actor Javon Walton

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the boxing advertising agency co-founded by Jake Paul, has signed rising Hollywood star and rising boxer Javon “Wanna” Walton, officials told ESPN on Monday.

Walton, best known for playing the Ashtray on HBO’s Emmy-winning series “Euphoria,” has enjoyed a successful amateur boxing career that has included more than 80 fights, multiple junior junior tournament victories, and five Georgia state championships. He competed at 125 pounds.

At 17, Walton is MVP’s youngest signing. He has also appeared with lead roles in the online hits “The Umbrella Academy” and “Samaritan”. He has over 5 million followers on Instagram and over 13 million followers across all social media platforms.

The plan is for Walton to make his professional boxing debut in 2024, and the MVP will advise him when he’s finished his amateur career. The MVP, led and founded by Paul and former UFC CFO Nakisa Bidarian, will assist Walton with branding, content creation and marketing, according to officials.

“I’ve been training really hard and working for most of my life for this moment,” Walton said in a statement. “MVPs are like family and that’s very important to me. I know they can help me achieve my goals in my professional boxing career and do it in a way that makes me feel special.”

Walton will be personally introduced by the MVP August 2 during open practice for the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz in Dallas. He joins Paul, all-time great boxer Amanda Serrano, top prospect Ashton Sylve and knockout boxer Shadasia Green as the MVP signed boxer. Walton will compete in the future on MVP events, including the Most Valuable Prospect series. He will continue to practice under the direction of his father and DJ coach.

“We see this as a great opportunity to make a big impact on ‘Wanna’ getting into professional boxing,” said the DJ. “The way Nakisa and Jake were able to disrupt the boxing ad business in such a remarkably short amount of time is inspiring. We’re honored to be the youngest MVP subscriber.”

In addition to his growing fame in Hollywood and on social media, Walton has also made a name for himself as an athlete. Last November, the Atlanta native became the youngest person to sign a contract with Nike’s famous Jordan brand. Walton is a former two-time Junior Olympic national silver medalist boxer and gymnast honored by USA Gymnastics.

“‘Wanna’ Walton is uniquely positioned to be the face of combat sports over the next decade,” Paul and Bidarian said in a statement. “With an unprecedented combination of skills and pedigree, strong values, and a massive fan base that was highly engaged before turning pro, he embodies a true superstar in the making. We’re honored to welcome ‘Wanna’ to our family of outstanding athletes and as an instant leader in the MVP world, he will be leading a new era of paid MVP events. boxing and ‘Wanna’ is the future. We can’t wait to see his greatness unfold.”

Paul will battle Diaz in a pay-per-view main event on August 5 in Dallas, with Serrano, Sylv and Green on extra cards.
