The Kentucky Raceway Chaplain has scheduled the 20th annual Race for Grace, traditionally held on the Monday before the Kentucky Race, on May 2.
This dinner event to raise money to financially support the Kentucky Raceway Chaplain will be held on Millionaires in the historic clubhouse Churchill Downs. Walk of Fame and Kentucky race winner Pat Day, who has been the President of the Kentucky Circuit Chaplain for the past six years, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
The keynote speaker will be nationally recognized Pastor Bob Russell. At just 22 years old, Bob became the pastor of Southeastern Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. That small 120-member church became one of the largest in America with 18,000 people attending three services each weekend in 2006 when Bob retired. Currently, through Bob Russell Ministries, Bob continues to preach at churches and conferences across the United States, provide instruction to church leaders, mentor other pastors, and produce research videos Bible. A prolific author, Bob has written more than a dozen books, including the 2016 release, “After 50 Years in the Work: 7 Things I’ll Do Same, and 7 Things I’ll Do Differently.”
There will be a live auction that will include a box for the 2023 Kentucky Derby and Oaks races and a silent auction that will include leather straps from participants in the 2022 Kentucky race, horse racing art and memorabilia.
