Koei Tecmo revealed that they have some plans for Atelier series ’25th anniversary. This information was revealed in One Famitsu New Year’s Category, which revealed what the company has planned for 2022. In addition to releasing Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of Magical Dreams, Koei Tecmo will celebrate the series in other ways. However, more information regarding this will appear in the future. In September 2021, Koei Tecmo revealed plans to announce a Atelier position. In October 2021, Koei Tecmo and Gust announced Atelier Sophie 2 as part of the series’ 25th anniversary celebration. The announcement includes information about the title, revealing that NOCO and Yuugen will be returning as character designers. Additionally, a November 2021 broadcast shared more details about the gameplay. That includes a look at new character will appear in the title. It also features a first look at the gameplay for Atelier Sophie 2 on Nintendo Switch.
Leads to the release Atelier Sophie 2, Koei Tecmo has released several character introduction videos. It includes introductory videos about Plachta and Sophie Neuenmuller. This also introduces a short look at some of the areas that will appear.
