New chibi plus of Tidus and Yuna, the main characters of Final Fantasy X, will appear worldwide. Square Enix has opened pre-orders for the gifts on its Japanese website, where each luxury product has a available individual at 4,180 yen. Both pluses are also available for pre-order on North America Square Enix Store for $44.99 each.
Plus signs will appear with chibi proportions, where the head appears to be larger than the rest of the body. The Tidus’ plush will be approximately W 135mm x D 160mm x H 195mm (W 5.31 in × D 6.30 in × H 7.68 in), while the premium Yuna will have a W 140mm x D 130mm x H 190mm (W 5.31 in × D 5.12 in × H 7.48 in).
In addition to merchandise, Square Enix is also hosting events related to Final Fantasy X. The company recently accepted an offer from Kabuki actor Kikunosuke Onoe V to produce a new movie. Performing kabuki based on the 2001 video game, will stream at IHI Stage Around Tokyo in the spring of 2023.
Tidus and Yuna’s chibi plus points from Final Fantasy X will arrive in Japan on April 29, 2023, and in North America on May 2023. Both Tidus and Yuna are the protagonists of the role-playing game that originally appeared on PlayStation 2 in 2001. Square Enix has since released an HD remake of the game and its direct sequel, Final Fantasy X-2on PS3, PS4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Nintendo Switchand PC.
