KKR vs LSG, Indian Premier League 2022 – Quinton de Kock scores

Quinton de Kock played with excellence for the Lucknow Super Giants against the Kolkata Knight Riders to score a superb goal in a match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Wednesday. He remained undefeated in 140 (70b, 10x6s, 10x4s) as LSG hit a massive 210/0 in 20 rounds. The opener is also the captain of LSG KL Rahul still undefeated on 68* (51b, 4x6s, 3x4s). When they together surpassed the score of 185, the duo’s stand became the stand with the highest ever opening goal in IPL’s history. This is also the highest value ever for any match against KKR. LSG won the match by two runs and qualified for the playoffs.

de Kock’s score of 140 is the highest individual score in IPL 2022. It is also the third-highest individual score in IPL history after the 175* score of the IPL. Chris Gayle (RCB v PWI, Bengaluru, 2013) and 158 * by Brendon McCullum (KKR v RCB, Bengaluru, 2008).

Rahul and De Kock’s 210* view is the third highest partnership ever for any wicket in the IPL after 229 by Virat kohli – AB De Villiers (RCB v GL, Bengaluru, 2016) and 215 * Kohli-De Villiers (RCB v MI, Mumbai, 2015).

Rahul and de Kock both racked up the powerhouse score, reaching 44 without losing, before showing their wide range on the way to their 210-match unbeaten run.

De Kock, who was dropped from Umesh Yadav by Abhijeet Tomar in the third round, cost KKR dearly by claiming the top score of the season.

The South African was in his elements smashing spinners and beaters with equal disdain.

He used the pull shot against faster pitchers and was at his best creative stage against the seasoned spin duo of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy.

Of the six he hit, de Kock’s reverse sweep against Narine stood out. Anything lacking in comparison to pacemakers, de Kock is happy to take it on in the deep square foot area.

Southpaw wasn’t in the mood to stop even after hitting three numbers. Tim Southee was poor at the death tackle as he sent the ball back and forth in the slot for de Kock to place it in the stands.

His 19th turn yielded 27 runs with de Kock finding the boundary at will.

Rahul watched de Kock’s spectacular strike from the best seat in the house. The captain doesn’t have much to do in taglines but he has also played some excellent shots on his way to the third half-century of the season.

Rahul also completed 500 runs in the tournament for the fifth consecutive season. PTI KKR archery players leaked 88 runs in the last five rounds.
