The home of Venus and Serena’s father, King Richard, is up for auction today, after the bank seized it – and kicked the 80-year-old man out of the house.
MTO News confirmed that the property had fallen into disrepair and that Richard’s ex-wife Lakeisha had stopped making payments on the home and owed more than $500,000, according to Palm Beach County property records.
Ultimately, the bank seized the assets in July 2021 and set the auction date to be moved from last summer to February.

It was originally set to be Monday, but the County Clerk’s Office changed the date to 10 a.m. Friday (February 18) which is TODAY. The home was originally valued at $1.1 million
Richard purchased the 10-acre property in 1995, which is the house featured in the new movie, King Richard.

Richard has been making headlines since King Richard was released. According to reports, Richard is currently “incapacitated” and cared for by Serena and Venus’ 48-year-old half-brother, Chavoita Lesane.
Chavoita was appointed conservator by the court.
