Kia EV6 price increase, Honda Accord Hybrid preview, Tesla recall: Car News Today

The Kia EV6 suffers a massive price hike, and we’re not just talking about losing the EV tax credit. Tesla is recalling more than 40,000 vehicles, but they are fixed. And Honda revealed the Accord Hybrid in 2023, aiming to make the high-mpg model a popular choice. This and more, here Green Car Report.

The 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid no longer plays a major role in the best-selling sedans; With the removal of the top-performing 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, the Accord Hybrid is the sportier choice, and Honda is aiming for hybrid versions to account for half of Accord sales. Honda says the Accord Hybrid also features a sportier fourth-generation version of the two-mode hybrid system.

The most logical version of Kia EV6 2023 is more expensive than 7,100 USDcompared to 2022. That’s because the base 58 kWh Light trim level is gone, leaving only mid-tier Wind versions and loaded GT-Line versions now starting at almost $50,000. — plus a high-performance EV6 GT that starts at $62,695 and competes with the Tesla Model Y Performance.

And a software problem that could lead to loss of electric power steering caused 40,168 Tesla vehicles recalled. However, the recall affecting certain 2017-2021 Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles has been fixed with an online update.
