Kevin James Playing Saints’ Sean Payton In Neflix’s ‘Home Team’ Will Probably Really Confuse You

Football movies are quite rare and good Football movies are harder to find than a Giants game in 2021. That said, Netflix will try to buck the trend with “Home Team,” a movie that revolves around the year Sean Payton left the NFL when he was suspended. in 2012.
The biggest change, however, is who will play Payton, and that’s actor and comedian Kevin James. That’s right, the guy from “King of Queens” is playing the head coach of the Saints.

The film follows the life of Payton leaving the NFL during his year-long suspension in 2012, stemming from the Saints’ BountyGate scandal, when he coached the sixth grade soccer team. of his son. Taylor Lautner, of “Twilight” fame, also stars in the film, alongside Rob Schneider.
James is no stranger to sports, after all: He’s an avid fan of the Mets, Jets, and Knicks and has starred in “Here Comes the Boom,” a movie about a martial artist. MMA doctor turned teacher trying to save the music teacher job at the school.
The film is produced by Adam Sandler and will hit the small screen on January 28.
Looks like Frankie Muniz really missed out on the role.
