Terminally ill dog seeks loving home after spending life chained outside

A 12-year-old German shepherd girl named Ruby has spent her life chained outside.

It has been bred many times but has never been properly cared for. The only company she had were her puppies, but that was short-lived.

After her owner passed away, she was finally freed from her lonely life and taken to the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Sanctuary (RBARI) for a second chance.

Rescuers did a full check and discovered that she had terminal cancer.

“Ruby is facing terminal cancer after living a long and lonely life outside. Ruby is now an elderly young woman, carrying a huge breast mass due to the effects of reproduction and lack of medical attention. Her breast cancer had not been treated for so long that it had spread all over her breasts.” Written rescue.

As if that wasn’t enough, the sweet girl also suffered from Lyme disease, an ear and skin infection. Despite being abandoned for 12 years, she still loves everyone.

“Ruby’s tumors are now stable, so our urgent priority is to make her comfortable and pamper her until she is symptom-free,” RBARI said.

Her ideal home would be a quiet home where she is the only pet. She promises to love you unconditionally for the rest of the time.

In return all she asked for was the same. Email [email protected] or visit rbari.org to apply for Ruby training.

“Ruby’s happiness forever after may be different than we expected, but despite everything she’s been through, she’s a sweet, happy, and just living girl.” Statuses rescue.
