Toei announced that Kamen Rider Black Sun The series has finished filming and will release in the fall of 2022. Additionally, Official website released new images of the Righteous Black Sun as well as the Dark Moon. Director Kazuya Shiraishi also commented on the ending of the series’ production. Kamen Rider Black Sun is a reboot of the original 1987 tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Black. The story follows two stepsisters Kohtaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki, who both become Kamen Rider Black Sun and Shadow Moon respectively. Kamen Rider Black was one of the most popular shows at the time, and received a manga adaptation as well as a direct sequel.
Toei and Ishimori Productions co-announced series reboot in April 2021. Since then, Toei has released various images of Kamen Rider Black Sun’s design. These latest screenshots reveal the design of the Shadow Moon for the first time, as well as an image of the Road Sector of the Black Sun.

Director Kazuya Shiraishi said that he was “burnt out, white as ashes” and that he was looking forward to seeing fans’ reactions. He thanked the staff and the cast of the production crew. Moreover, he said that the whole team will continue to work hard to make the shots.
Kamen Rider Black Sun will release sometime in 2022. No confirmation on streaming platform or Western release.
