Warframe on Switch just got a cross-platform play update
Remember last July when Digital Extremes announces the addition of cross-play and cross-save support for its popular free-to-play title, war frame? Well, cross-platform play is now officially available.
In a new update, the company announced that the cross-platform game is finally supported for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
Here’s a bit of how this new feature works via PR. Note: There is also an option to enable and disable cross-platform play features. VoIP chat features will also be provided in a future update.
“Warframe Cross-Platform Play can be toggled on and off in the game’s Options Menu. When the feature is enabled, a player’s platform icon will be displayed next to their name. They can Chat, join Teams and can look forward to Quick Public Matching as other players on all platforms in the Base System participate in upcoming Missions. can also meet in Relay and Dojo, however, VoIP chat features will be added in the future and are not currently available.”
And for cross-save – obviously “still in development”. This is described as an optional service for players to move their progress from platform to platform. You can learn more about these new features on Official Warframe website.
