The 28-year-old has finally started his career again with a one-way victory over Peter Kramer at Liverpool on June 17. While the Hungarian had no depth, Kelly produced a performance that excites the new promoter Kalle Sauerland.
Joining him in the same program is Newcastle middleweight Aaron Chalmers, who kicked off his professional career with a four-point win over Alexander Zeledon on the same card over ten days ago.
In one Wasserman’s press release Kelly says:
“It’s great to be back doing what I love.”
“I am delighted to be able to demonstrate my strength and precision against a tough 154lb strong opponent. [like Kramer]. “
“It’s been an exciting time – being back in the Northeast and being able to get busy again is exactly what I want. Keeping active and producing more of the same is the main thing now, I crave more. “
Chalmers, a former reality TV star and MMA fighter, said his local fans can expect more of him in his second bout next month.
“Fans can expect even more fierceness from me in this fight.”
“I was a bit rushed in my debut, but a calculated and aggressive fighter is to be expected. I didn’t come to go far, and if I can get a knockout win over Newcastle I know I’ll blow the roof off this place. “
Tickets for the “Northeast Takeover” performance are available through Wasserman boxing website.
