The The New York Times reported that a spokesperson for the District Attorney said in a statement:

“As part of our rigorous ongoing investigation, we will review the Medical Examiner’s report, evaluate all available video and images, and identify and interview as many as possible. as many witnesses as possible, and collect additional medical records. This investigation is being handled by senior, experienced prosecutors and we will provide updates as more information becomes publicly available to share.”

Even though his medical examiner’s verdict is murder, that doesn’t necessarily mean his case will be prosecuted as murder. The action will remain to be determined by the Manhattan DA’s office, ABC7 New York reports.
