Two days later Anne Heche was declared legally dead, the actress was cut off from life support.

The representative of the Heche family previously told E! News that while she was legally declared dead on August 12 at the age of 53, according to California law, her heart is still beating and is on life support to allow the OneLegacy Foundation to have enough time to find a suitable recipient for her organs she wants to donate.
Earlier on August 14, a representative for Heche told E! News in a statement that her medical team was prepared to proceed with the procedure to remove her organs.
“Anne Heche will be on life support leave on Sunday, the organ recipient has been identified and the surgeons are ready to remove and then transplant,” the statement read. “Anne will be off life support after which the procedure will begin.”
The statement continued, “Many organs will be transplanted, with no specifics on which type.”
