The Western Alps Adventure takes you right in the heart of the Swiss and French Alps, discovering more than just exhilarating alpine passes. Adjust!
From Milan, you’ll travel through picturesque Switzerland to the stunning French Alps, going through all the major stretches along the route. The narrow path of the Swiss Furka Pass, the panoramic Col de la Bonette in France and the highest paved pass in the Alps, the Col de L’Iseran, will provide a sense of extreme excitement, while the roads zigzag zigzag will take you further to the less traveled parts of France.
Riding mountain ranges like the Chartreuse, testing your dizzying abilities on the Combe Laval balcony trail and admiring countless French lakes along the way are just some of the gems you can look forward to on this unique journey this unique. You are invited to join the trip and choose your own favorite moment to be remembered.
Western Alps Adventure Daily Journey
Day 1: Arrive in Milan
Welcome to Milan, the fashion capital of the world! AMT will pick you up at Malpensa airport and take you to your hotel on the outskirts of Milan, close to the airport. Depending on when you arrive, you’ll have time to relax and unwind or take a tour before an introduction to the tour. At 4 p.m., the group meets for a brief introduction and in the evening enjoys a welcome dinner at a classic Italian Trattoria.
Day 2: Milan – Grimsel Pass
Leaving the flat city area, you’ll head north, basking in stunning views of the Alps. Passing Lake Como, riders will cross Switzerland, conquer the famous passes of Novena, Furka, Susten and spend the night under the stars, right at the top of Grimsel Pass.
Day 3: Grimsel Pass – Evian
From Grimsel Pass, the tour descends into the valley, passing Lake Brienz and stopping at Unterseen, Interlaken’s Old Town, before continuing into the rolling hills of Switzerland. The winding and zigzag roads will take you past Jaunpass and through Gruyères for a quick cheesecake and castle photography, then overnight at Évian-les-Bains, the French seaside resort on Lake Geneva .
Day 4: Evian – Vercors
Leaving the spa town of Évian-les-Bains, riders will head to Annecy, also known as “Alpine Venice”, to enjoy a stroll along the canals, before climbing up the mountain once more to cycle through the canals. Bauges and the Chartreuse Mountains range, following those who sweep endlessly and dive in and out of the woods. You will end the day in a small, high village in the heart of the Vercors Masiff.
Day 5: Vercors – Embrun
The famous Combe Laval, will test your vertigo as you walk the narrow cliffside path carved into the rock, overlooking Provence in the background. Head down into the valley, spending the night at the edge of Europe’s largest man-made lake, Serre-Ponçon.
Day 6: Embrun rest day
This day will be spent beneath the peaks of the Hautes Alps. You’ll have the option of taking an exciting trip around Lake Serre-Poncon or exploring passes like the Col de la Bonnette and the Col de Vars. If you want to spend the day cycling, you will have many options for leisure time in the grounds of a magical castle.
Day 7: Embrun – Chamonix
An exciting trip awaits! After riding on the Col d’Izoard, the party will stop at the medieval town of Briancon. From here, you’ll experience a roller coaster ride in and out of Italy and France, alongside crystal clear lakes and stunning vistas – not to mention the highlight of the day: climbing the country’s highest paved road the Alps, Col de L’Iseran, before settling for the night in Chamonix.
Day 8: Chamonix – Milano
Before saying goodbye to Chamonix, the group will take a cable car to The Aiguille du Midi in the silhouette of the majestic Mont Blanc mountain. The riders will then cross the Great St. Bernard on his way back to Italy. Expect a scenic ride, with the majestic Alps gazing at you from every angle, while slowly descending the valley and back to your starting point in Milan.
Day 9 Milan departs
Depending on the time of your flight back home, you may have time to stroll downtown Milan and walk on the roof of the famous Milanese cathedral, which took almost six centuries to complete and is a monumental structure. in the Italian national territory.
