Sheetz has once again reduced the price at least one of the fuels it provides as a gesture of goodwill to its customers. The Combined gas station-convenience-Car Shop-wash-restaurant-beer-distributor says it will reduce the price of the E85 to $1.85/gallon for the rest of April 2023. That’s a big discount compared to the price. AAA say present The national average is $3.07 for the E85.

In case you lost it:

Initial deal starts on April 17 at 375 Sheetz in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and Northern California carry the fuel. Which one can you see exactly? location that is by using the Sheetz app or visiting their website.

Even by Sheetz’s standards, this is a terrible discount. Last E85 discount company is back in June 2022and it just dropped to $3.49/gallon on July 4th tourist season.

Sheetz says the E85 – also known as Flex Fuel – is only approved in “flexible fuel vehicles” designed to run on gasoline or a gasoline-ethanol blend with up to 85% ethanol – so E85. Because the chain doesn’t want anyone to damage their car by dumping the wrong fuel on their property, Sheetz is also providing a useful tool to see if your car is compatible with E85. All this means you can now fill Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 at Sheetz for a lot less money!

Usually, Sheetz likes to combine these promotions with some kind of holiday with lots of travel, but that’s not true this time around. We’ve reached out to the company to see what the deal is in terms of timing, but for no specific reason, according to a spokesperson. “Sheetz is just trying to help customers!” he told Jalopnik. I love it. “Just because” is as good a reason as any, if you ask me.

Sheetz has more than 670 locations in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States, and it played a big part in my college years as a Penn State goer. I spent so much money there during my four years in Happy Valley that I felt it was time for them to repay me – and I assume all of you. If you find yourself filling up there, I recommend a pasta bite unless it’s morning. In that case, go with a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. You can’t go wrong with one of those bad boys.
