The new partnership at Kingsley House hit gold with the runner-up together when Golden sand did it all to take a big gamble in the Grade 6 handicap at Wolverhampton.
Now they have a trip to Riyadh and Dubai in mind Nayef . Road and believes that the stable 6-year-old flag bearer is the ideal role model for the task.
The Golden Sands, which played at 16-1 on Monday morning, were sent off the favorites 9-4 before registering a smooth victory in the hands of Johnston frontman Joe Fanning.
Johnston Jr said: “It’s good to get someone on the board early every year but this year was even better. Without creating too many problems, this is a significant winner and it’s been fun. being there to see it.”
After an early break of the ice in domestic weather conditions, the activity will operate at a similar level for the next several weeks before raising the record.
“We have several types of backward to run and three types of fit in mind for value cards at Lingfield over a three-week period,” said Johnston.
“Also we have Nayef Road, who is just starting to get back to work. The aim is to get him to Saudi Arabia and then Dubai.”
Now a 6-year-old, Nayef Road has had a respite since landing the Newmarket-listed Jockey Club Rose Bowl Stakes last September with six long runs.
