He’s already successfully made the jump from social media to boxing, so it makes perfect sense that 5-0 boxer – and ubiquitous celebrity – Jake Paul has decided to weigh in on national politics. “Biden achievement,” the 25-year-old tweeted over the weekend. “first. Gasoline Prices Highest 2. Inflation Worst 3. Cryptocurrency Prices Plunge 4. Rents Highest Ever 5. Confused New Languages Made If you’re reading this and voting for Biden and you still don’t regret it, you’re America’s problem. As of Monday morning, the tweet had made Paul trending on Twitter. However, that’s what Jake Paul does best – attract attention.
He also boxed surprisingly well for a 5-0 boxer. Paul can be criticized for his choice of competition – on the hill are former UFC stars and other celebrities outside the ring – but as he himself puts it, no fighter is just getting started. a big competition if he or she is serious about a boxing career. And, make no mistake about it, Paul is quite serious about boxing. Like him or not – hard workers. He also proves to have a real talent for sweet science. Of course there is still so much talent. However, it is increasingly difficult to dismiss him as a boxer (albeit a rather inexperienced one).
And, love or hate what he has to say, a lot of people will appreciate Jake Paul’s words and actions. That’s why it’s really believable for a 5-0 boxer to enter the political arena, in itself sometimes even more malevolent than the action found in the ring. A quick look at Twitter Monday morning showed a flurry of responses for and against Paul’s comments. Like contemporary politics itself, reactions seem to depend on where the commentator is ideologically inclined to begin.
Having said that, it’s worth noting that Paul isn’t the first boxer to get involved in political and/or social issues. Jack Johnson. Muhammad Ali. Joe Luis. Manny Pacquiao, Felix Trinidad and a seemingly endless list of others have weighed in on important issues over the decades. Whether fans approve or not, in a sense, politics and boxing have long been intertwined. However, Paul will have to focus back on boxing soon if he is to maintain his winning form. He lined up to fight at Madison Square Garden on Aug. 8. Tommy Fury, brother of heavyweight champion (Retired?) Tyson Fury, has been talked about as a possible opponent.
