Hydrogen-Electric Race Trucks : Gaussin
French electrical automobile firm Gaussin is ready to launch the H2 Racing Truck, a hydrogen-electric automobile developed for the 2022 Dakar Rally.
The one-of-kind truck is provided with a 402-hp electrical motor at every axle and extra-large, 176-pound hydrogen gas cells. If the truck is carrying heavier masses, the automobile may draw energy from its 82-kilowatt-hour battery. In response to the corporate, the H2 Racing Truck can attain prime speeds of 87 miles per hour with a spread of 155 miles (in race situations). In non-race situations, the truck is designed to cowl roughly 500 miles on a single hydrogen fill and absolutely charged battery.
Though the truck was designed to deal with the Dakar Rally, Gaussin plans to offer it a common launch, making it one of many firm’s 5 hydrogen-electric vans slated to enter the market within the coming years.
