There are only six races left before the NASCAR Cup Series Qualifiers begin. Winning the race is becoming increasingly valuable for riders who don’t have enough points to secure a place in the knockout stages, such as Hendrick Motorsports racer Chase Elliott. The 2020 champion has five finishes in the top five this season but has missed six races after breaking his leg in a skiing accident and being suspended from one race after deliberately ruining Denny Hamlin. Elliott must win to make it to the knockout round.
