How to set up your new iPhone (2021)


If you’re switching to Android, be sure to download it Switch to iOS Android app from Google Play. Above Applications & Data screen during the setup of your new iPhone, tap Migrate data from Android. Back on your Android phone, open the app, tap Continueand follow the instructions from there. Set up your new iPhone

If you’re an Apple vet and have an old iPhone on hand, try Quick Start for the fastest way to set up that new iPhone. Just bring the new iPhone close to the old iPhone and confirm that you want to use the same Apple ID on the new device. An animation will appear on your new device; Hover over your old one on it until that image appears in your viewfinder. Enter your password when prompted and you’re on your way to setting up Face ID. From there, you can choose exactly what you want to back up and which settings — including for Apple Watch, if you have one — you want to continue.

Alternatively, you can simply select Restore from iCloud Backup or Restore from iTunes Backup. Then, enter your Apple ID and password and go get a mint mocha while your iPhone reboots with all the settings, preferences, apps, and more in place. In other words, it will be the same as your old device, but… newer.

If this is your first Apple game or you just want a fresh start and enjoy rummaging through the menus, choose Set up as new phone, which will accomplish exactly what it emits.
